Recipe 11

Easy Chiwada

1 kg packet of kurmura if it is not available then you can use Kelloggs packet without favour
1/2 kg roasted peanuts if you use salted then be careful while adding salt
25 curry leaves
6 green chillies
2 teaspoons chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon of Asafoetida (hind)
2 teaspoon mustard seeds
4 table spoons butter
25 gram dried grapes (kismis)

Heat butter in pot. when it is heated then add curry leaves, green chillies, mustard seeds. When they crackles add Asafoetida. Then immediately add roasted peanuts. Mix them. Then after few seconds you can add dried grapes. Keep them until they change in color and get little fat. Then add turmeric power, chilli powder. Then add salt to test. It means you must taste that masala before adding next ingredient and if you feel you need more chilly add chilli power or less chilly then add sugar. Then finally add kurmura or cornflakes. If you are using kurmura then keep it on gas until it gets that crispy taste which you normally get. You can eat this with tea. It is easy to do and nice to taste.
